About The Author

Frenchette Anderson is a wife, a mother, and a friend, but most importantly a follower of Christ. Having given her life to Christ at the age of sixteen, at Second Baptist Missionary Church in Topeka, KS, she has desired to be useful to the Kingdom of God and to help others virtually her entire life. From the Youth Choir Director as a child to now serving with her husband as a Deaconess at New Life In Christ International Ministries, under the headship of Apostle Keith Wesley Sr., Frenchette's prayer continues to be, “Lord what would you have me to do to be useful to your Kingdom?”

Frenchette was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas to Elbert and Mary Davis. She has one younger sister and two older brothers. As a student at Shawnee Heights High School, she began a life of service to others as a volunteer with the Special Olympics and as the organizer of CARE, a student organization focused on eradicating bullying in high school. While studying at the University of Kansas in Lawrence (KU), she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the Omega Theta Undergraduate Chapter in 1991. It was also in the year she met her husband, Leo Anderson.

Her years at KU were busy. She served as President of McCullum Hall Black Caucus; President of the Black Student Union; Chair of the Big Eight Council on Black Student Government Conference; Basileus of the Omega Theta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.; Vice-President of the Pan Hellenic Council; Organizer of KU’s first Bone Marrow Registry Drive; and also as a student mentor to incoming freshmen. As a college student, she had the opportunity to intern in Washington D.C. with (now retired) Representative Jim Slattery.  There she received great hands on experience, and was entrusted with great responsibility, such as organizing a House Sub-Committee hearing.  All of this was accomplished, while still pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in History. Always eager to know and learn more, Frenchette later decided to return to school to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.   Never to back down from a challenge, in 2013, while being a full time wife, mother, and business owner, she received that degree from Colorado Christian University.

Frenchette has been married to Leo Anderson for over 20 years, and together they have one son, William. Conscious of the blessings they have received, they have always been eager to be a blessing to others.  They have hosted high school exchange students from China, Germany and India, as well as tutored students on ACT test preparation.  They have also served on several ministries at their church such as the Marriage, Women’s, Media and Sunday School Ministries. As a family, giving back is very important, and because of this the entire family has volunteered with both their time and through
donations to the City Union Mission, the Harvesters and the Helping Hands Food Pantry.

Frenchette has been a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for more than 22 years. She is currently a member of the Alpha Epsilon Zeta Chapter in Kansas City, KS, and is also a life member.  She has served as the Kansas State Director of the organization, under the administrations of two Grand Basileis, and she has held multiple positions in the graduate chapter, to include the honor of serving as Basileus.

Professionally, Frenchette is Co-Owner of The Anderson Group, a business consulting company, focused on serving small businesses and not for profit organizations. She describes herself as an outsourced Comptroller, helping organizations strategize on ways to be more profitable and efficient in their business practices. She is also the creator of the blog “1 Woman's Money Journey,” which addresses the impact that finances have on marriages from a woman's point of view (1WomansMoneyJourney.blogspot.com). Frenchette desire is to encourage women, especially in their times of struggles.  Her goal is to let them know that they are not alone, and that with God anything is possible because we have victory through Jesus Christ.
